Trauma in the body (bottom up approach)
How we can use non-clinical techniques to heal.
Our body controls our mind and yet we treat our mind and not our body.
The body hijacks the brain. The brain goes into survival mode it will not come out until the body is calmed and feels safe.
It’s the body messing you up not your brain.
The body is miss firing and the brain does not know why. Don’t start with the why, rewind to the body
I am loving the ancient tribal (no medications available time) theories of no talk therapy like chanting, singing, expressive dance, drumming. Connecting through vibrations, sounds and touch.
Our bodies holds memories and tension more than our brains so we can heal our pains without using cognitive western tools- we love our meds in the western world to numb what is happening to our bodies rather than fixing the problem. We heal thoughts rather than heal the causes.
Autoimmune diseases, respiratory, circulation, digestive, heart issues are huge with trauma all chronic trauma response patterns. All linked to holding onto trauma
Talks about chakras, reiki, touch sound, vibration . I don’t necessarily recommend this particular course as it is a filmed training session, so watching the facilitator talking to others and them asking question, needs lots of concentration to hear what they are asking. But there are others, this just had the better ratings and I did learn loads from it.
The title is for children but it does talk about adults and a lot similar to inner child stuff. I love how it’s all connected. She talks about being a Cherry picker and taking different bits of different techniques and using them together.
