Mindfulness

For years now mindfulness has been explained wrong. I remember sitting in a mindfulness workshop years ago and it was different to anything I am coming across now. And now is better.

This mornings practice, as well as having my SAD lamp on I have just sat and observed this candle’s flame.
How the colour is clear at the bottom and then turns yellow. How the tip has three flames and how it changes shape.
Yes my mind has wondered but I acknowledged each thought and went back to the flame, exploring and observing it.
Mindfulness is living in the moment, in the presence, in the here and now.
Accepting who we are, faults and all and gaining an understanding for what we want to change.
I want to change my sensitivity levels. I know it’s ok to be a HSP and I can’t help it but I could count to 30 (10 isn’t enough) before responding/acting. Maybe up it if I need longer.
