My advise is to write down who you are and find self-value, then accept their values are just human behaviour and let them think what they want. As long as you know your worth, it really doesn't matter (I should practice what I preach)
I am Tanya and originally from London, I moved to Yorkshire 20 years ago when I met my husband.
We have a son and daughter who are 16 and 18 years old. My son has the same medical condition (ME/CFS) as I do, and my daughter has a diagnosis of Coeliacs Disease, Autism and SPD. We are currently in the process of starting college and employment. My son grew up with what is now known as ARFID, and my daughter has a PDA profile (both undiagnosed).
Honestly years ago, I thought there was no hope, and we would be supporting them for the rest of their lives. But I am living proof that there is hope for the future.
My daughter was home educated from the age of 8 years old, having been forced out of the education system, it was tough going but we got there.
My children are thriving and becoming successful young, independent people
I see myself as a creative person and enjoy all things art, craft and books. I love studying and currently embarking on an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have just completed the Level 2 Autism Awareness course which helped me to not only recognise my daughter more (who got diagnosed at 11) but also myself. I am currently looking for the right and affordable private diagnoses route as the NHS one fell through.
My obsession is The Disney company and how it is run as a business.
