About Tanya

Tanya is the founder of balancing Belle.  She has been designing it since 2021 and brought Kristina and Lilia into the fold in 2025, as it was ready to launch.

Tanya tells us "a very kind friend of mine started me on the journey by gifting me some money towards the course, her kindness will never be forgotten. It's people like Mary and her kindness that makes this world a better place and I can only hope I can use my skills to help others too. The thing that really amazed me was with all the years I have studied different therapies, 26 years, nothing was to new. I am so glad that I have been on the right path and can now bring it all together and can start practising."

In 2008, It took 6 months to tell her husband and close circle (including doc) that she was depressed and having Panic Attacks. It took 18 months to tell everyone else.

Although she believe she told people she felt ill in 2018, she did not feel she had articulated it well enough for people to care and ask how she was or to notice how sick she was.  After 3 months of being mentally and physically ill and wanting to end the pain by ending her life, she went to the docs and within a month (usually takes 2 years) got diagnosed with ME/CFS and a month later received Psychotherapy (that can take 2.5+ years).  Tanya was so ill that one of the top consultants in the country came to see her and diagnose her. People still say it couldn't have been him, and Tanya offers to show them her diagnoses with his autograph on it (apparently he had stopped seeing patients).  Only then did everyone realise the extent to what she was dealing with.

Tanya is now also diagnosed with AuDHD.  It has been suggested that the late diagnoses is her fault because she is known as the queen of masking and no one does it better than her.  Tanya identified as Autistic for a long time, but when she got diagnosed with ADHD it floored her, she was in total shock. "I'm not upset about it just so shocked. I have never resonated with it, thought about it or been interested in it.   It's a form of denial and my sub-conscious way of protecting me. I didn't need protecting from ASD. " she states.  Tanya uses supplements, exercise, stress reduction, exposure therapy, sleep and diet techniques.  She had the period required with medication, to find the right dosage and use these as a back up plan for when needed.  Somatic healing is her first priority.

Over the years Tanya has been described as a: Good Listener; Deep thinker; Lovely; Reflective; Caring; Quiet and Serious; Good sense of humour; Knowledgeable; Cheerful; Artistic; Makes you feel safe; Patient; Reliable; Honest and Trustworthy; Inspiring; Calming influence; Organised; Conscientious; and Observant.
