Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

How are all my SAD buddies? Pretty crap this week hey especially as weather doesn’t help.

I’m feeling it, I feel very caged and restricted but trying not to let it get to me as I know it’s SAD that’s causing it.

Take it easy and even though I’m going through it myself, I’m still here to listen to you, we need to band together and keep it other standing and safe.  We all know what depression can lead too.

I keep telling myself February (when I start getting better) is just around the corner.

Symptoms of SAD (remember - don’t t confuse it with Menopause/Andropause) can include:

a persistent low mood

a loss of pleasure or interest in normal everyday activities

irritability

feelings of despair, guilt and worthlessness

feeling lethargic (lacking in energy) and sleepy during the day

sleeping for longer than normal and finding it hard to get up in the morning

craving carbohydrates and gaining weight

difficulty concentrating

decreased sex drive

For some people, these symptoms can be severe and have a significant impact on their day-to-day activities.
